§ LEGAL

Terms of Service.

The short version

Comply Code is a software tool that flags compliance-risk patterns on URLs you submit. It is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. You scan URLs you own or have permission to scan. Paid unlocks are non-refundable except as stated in the refund policy. We’re liable up to what you paid us.

1. Acceptance

By using Comply Code (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to bind that company.

2. What Comply Code is, and isn't

Comply Code is a software-as-a-service tool that audits web applications for compliance-risk patterns: US accessibility (ADA / WCAG), EU privacy (GDPR / ePrivacy), AI code provenance, and security data-exposure indicators.

Comply Code is not a law firm. We do not provide legal advice. Findings are automated pattern detections based on publicly available standards and case data. They are not opinions about whether your specific situation violates any law. For a binding legal analysis of your specific facts, consult a qualified attorney in the relevant jurisdiction.

3. Permitted use

You may only scan URLs that you:

  • Own, or
  • Operate with the consent of the owner, or
  • Have explicit written permission to test.

You may not use Comply Code to scan third-party sites without authorization, to harvest data at scale, to reverse-engineer the Service, to circumvent paid-unlock gating, or in any way that violates applicable law (including computer-misuse statutes in your jurisdiction).

We may rate-limit, suspend, or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe are violating these terms.

4. Account and payment

Free scans require no account. Paid features (Unlock Everything, monthly plans, Acquisition Pack) require successful payment via Stripe. By paying, you authorize the charge and confirm the payment method belongs to you.

Prices are in US dollars unless otherwise stated. You are responsible for any sales or VAT tax in your jurisdiction; we may collect and remit on your behalf where required.

5. Refunds

See our refund policy for the full text. In short: paid unlocks are non-refundable once accessed, except where: (a) the fix prompts fail to resolve the underlying findings after a good-faith application, or (b) the law requires a refund in your jurisdiction. We consider refund requests in good faith and respond within 14 days.

6. Intellectual property

Comply Code, its scanner, fix prompts, reports, and brand are owned by EVOQ Sp. z o.o. You may use the output of a scan you ran (findings, fix prompts, PDFs) freely for your own compliance work, including sharing internally with developers and counsel. You may not resell our output, white-label it without an Agency-tier subscription, or publish it as your own product.

You retain ownership of the URLs you submit and the underlying code on those sites — we don’t claim any rights in your application.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that findings will be complete or accurate. Compliance-risk detection is inherently probabilistic — we may miss issues, and we may flag false positives.

Specifically: a clean scan does not guarantee compliance. A finding does not prove a violation. Always validate findings with qualified counsel before making business-critical decisions.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, EVOQ Sp. z o.o.’s aggregate liability under or relating to these terms is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or loss of goodwill.

Some jurisdictions don’t allow these limitations; in those, our liability is limited to the minimum permitted by law.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify EVOQ Sp. z o.o. from claims arising out of: (a) your violation of these terms, (b) your scan of URLs without authorization, (c) your use of our findings or fix prompts in a way that harms a third party. We will indemnify you against any claim that your authorized use of the Service infringes a third party’s intellectual property rights.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms, abuse of the Service, or non-payment. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; sections that by nature should survive (IP, disclaimers, liability, dispute resolution) survive.

11. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Poland, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes are resolved in the courts of Warsaw, Poland — except where you are a consumer in your country of residence and that country’s law gives you the right to bring suit there.

We prefer to resolve disputes informally. Before filing, please email hello@complycode.app with a description of the issue. We respond within 14 days.

12. Changes

We may change these terms occasionally. Material changes are announced on the home page for at least 30 days before taking effect; if you have an active subscription, we’ll email you before changes apply. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
